**UPDATE FROM VERNON TOWNSHIP FIRE DEPARTMENT**
In the interest of public safety, our Fireworks Committee thought it best to postpone the annual Fireworks event. However after continuing to check weather forecasts and numerous discussions with our vendors, it has been decided that it would be best to wait until tomorrow morning to make the final decision.
As it stands (July 1, 4:45pm) the fireworks will continue on Saturday July 2, unless the weather is confirmed to be too unsuitable.
Please watch our social media for updates. We anticipate being able to make the final decision by 11:30am. We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience.
Bring your blankets and chairs to celebrate the 25th Annual Firework show presented by the Vernon and Highland Lakes Fire Departments.
