Yngwie Malmsteen: 40th Anniversary Tour

GRAMMY® nominated Swedish guitar player and songwriter Yngwie Malmsteen brings his neoclassical metal playing style to The Newton Theatre! Yngwie’s career has spanned over 40 years with over twenty albums to his name. His first solo album, “Rising Force” (now considered the bible for neoclassical rock) was released in 1984 and made it to #60 on the Billboard charts. As a young boy, Malmsteen originally had no interest in music, but that all changed when he saw a TV special on the late Jimi Hendrix. The day Hendrix died, the guitar-playing Malmsteen was born.
