Family Promise of Sussex County has been serving the community for 25 years. At its inception, our agency was a grassroots effort to address homelessness in our county and has blossomed into a full spectrum of services to aid those experiencing a housing crisis. The mission of Family Promise of Sussex County is to secure housing stability and sustainability for those in crisis… because everyone deserves a home. Our approach involves prevention services before families become homeless, shelter to help families experiencing homelessness, and housing stabilization programs once families have secured housing. In recent years, we have expanded the resources available to include Emergency Shelter, Opening Doors: Men’s Day Program, Intensive Case Management Services, Employment and Careering Counseling, Homelessness Prevention, Rapid Rehousing, Shelter Diversion, Permanent Supportive Housing Programs and Utility Assistance Programs.
